Police superintendent charged with possession of indecent image of a child

Novlett Robyn Williams, 54, who is a superintendent currently based within the Metropolitan Police Service’s Frontline Policing, was also charged on Friday (February 15) with one count of corrupt/improper exercise of police powers and privileges by a constable in failing to report the distribution of that image.

It is understood that the image was sent to her by her sister who, along with her partner, is also accused of distributing the image.

Supt Williams denies seeing the image. Victor Marshall, Professional Standards Co-ordinator for the Police Superintendents’ Association, said:
“Supt Williams emphatically denies the allegations and will strenuously defend herself against the charges.

“We are supporting her, and she has voluntarily co-operated fully with the investigation.”

Supt Williams will appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on March 12 with the two co-defendants. Jennifer Hodge, 55 and Dido Massivi, 61, both from Willesden Green in London, were charged on February 12.

Ms Hodge was charged with distributing an indecent image of a child, namely a moving image file of Category A severity. And Mr Massivi was charged with two counts of distributing an indecent image of a child, namely a moving image file of Category A severity, and one count of possession of extreme pornography.
