Police fear revenge attack after teen ‘knocked from moped’ and stabbed in West London

The Metropolitan Police are concerned there could be revenge attacks after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed in West London.

Officers were called to reports of an assault on the Worlds End Estate in Chelsea just before 7.45pm on Sunday, January 31.

When they arrived they found the teen with a stab wound resulting to him being rushed to hospital by London Ambulance Service (LAS).

Police believe that the stab victim may have been knocked from a moped by a suspect who was on foot before being attacked.

Following the incident Hammersmith and Fulham police issued a Section 60 in the area which increases officer’s powers to stop and search people.

In a Tweet the police wrote: “A Section 60 has been authorised from 12.25am hours until 3.24pm by Insp McDonald.

“The area covered are postcode areas SW10, SW6 and SW3 as shown in the below map. This is due to a stabbing in the worlds End estate earlier today and threats of retaliatory attacks.”

It is understood that the victim’s injuries are not life threatening and that an arrest has been made.

In a statement from police, a spokesperson said: “Police were called to reports of an assault on the Worlds End Estate.

“Officers attended and found a 15-year-old boy suffering from a stab wound. He was taken by the London Ambulance Service to a central London hospital.

“His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.”
