Tributes paid to popular South Wales Police officer who has died age 41

Tributes have been paid to a South Wales Police officer who has died at the age of 41.

Police Constable Stuart Styles who was based in Roath, Cardiff died on Sunday, May 16.

The officer joined the force in 2008 and has been described as a “well-respected” member of the force.

A spokesperson for the force on Monday said: “It is with immense sadness that we announce the death of serving officer, and our friend and colleague, Police Constable 5074 Stuart Styles.”

Chief Constable Jeremy Vaughan added: “I was extremely saddened to learn of Stuart’s passing yesterday morning, I know this news has come as a shock to us all, and my thoughts are very much with his colleagues, friends and family at this time.

“Stuart was a well-respected, popular and experienced officer, he was greatly valued by everyone who knew him, including the Roath community that he served.”
